PLANS for a hashish farm in St Mary have been rejected – partly as a result of the applicant failed to supply a marketing strategy.
Inexperienced View Ltd utilized to develop the medicinal-cannabis-growing enterprise in a glasshouse at La Verte Vue Farm, on Rue du Rondin.

At a Planning Committee assembly yesterday, the applying was rejected by 4 votes to 2.
One of many panel members, St Ouen Constable Richard Honeycombe, stated that ‘diversification of agriculture is nice for the financial system’.
That sentiment was echoed by Deputy Alex Curtis, who added that he wished to see ‘funding within the rural financial system’.
Nonetheless, Deputy Curtis highlighted that Inexperienced View Ltd had not supplied a marketing strategy as a part of the applying.

Deputies Steve Luce and Mary Le Hegarat voted in favour of the scheme.
